Almond Omelet with Caramel Sauce
A simple yet elegant almond omelet drizzled with homemade caramel sauce. Perfect for a sweet breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients
- 3 Eggs
- 0.25 teaspoon Almond extract
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 0.5 cup Granulated sugar (For caramel sauce)
- 0.25 cup Water (For caramel sauce)
- 0.25 cup Heavy cream (For caramel sauce)
- 0.125 teaspoon Salt (For caramel sauce)
- 2 tablespoons Sliced almonds (For garnish)
Instructions
- 1In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and almond extract until well combined.
- 2Melt the butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and cook until the omelet is set but still slightly moist on top. Gently fold the omelet in half.
- 3In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture turns a deep amber color (about 8-10 minutes). Remove from heat and carefully whisk in the heavy cream and salt. Be careful, as the mixture will bubble vigorously. Stir until smooth.
