Rice with Butter and Cheese (Riso in Bianco)

A simple and comforting Italian rice dish made with butter and Parmesan cheese. Perfect as a side dish or light meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Long-grain rice
  • 2 cups Water
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. 1In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add 1 cup of rice and stir.
  2. 2Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until all the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.
  3. 3Remove from heat. Stir in butter and Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
  4. 4Serve immediately as a side dish or light meal.
