Wine Sauce No. 1

A simple wine sauce.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 pint Water
  • 1 cupful Sugar
  • 1 small teaspoonful Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoonful Royal Extract Lemon
  • 1 teaspoonful Cinnamon
  • 1/2 gill Wine

Instructions

  1. 1In a saucepan, boil the water. In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in a little cold water. Add the dissolved cornstarch and the sugar to the boiling water.
  2. 2Boil for 15 minutes, then strain the sauce. When ready to serve, add the Royal Extract Lemon, Cinnamon, and wine.
