To Mince Beef

A simple recipe for mincing beef.

Ingredients

  • as needed Beef, underdone part
  • as needed Fat
  • as needed Onions
  • as needed Water
  • as needed Pepper
  • as needed Salt
  • as needed Gravy from the meat
  • as needed Bits of bread
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar

Instructions

  1. 1Shred the underdone part of the beef finely, along with some of the fat. This should take about 10 minutes.
  2. 2Place the shredded beef and fat into a small stewpan. Add a small amount of onions, a little water, pepper, and salt. Simmer over low heat until the onions are soft, about 20 minutes.
  3. 3Add some of the meat gravy to the mince. Do not let it boil. Have a small, hot dish ready with bits of bread. Pour the mince into the dish and mix in a large spoonful of vinegar just before serving.
