To Mince Beef
A simple recipe for mincing beef.
Ingredients
- as needed Beef, underdone part
- as needed Fat
- as needed Onions
- as needed Water
- as needed Pepper
- as needed Salt
- as needed Gravy from the meat
- as needed Bits of bread
- 1 tablespoon Vinegar
Instructions
- 1Shred the underdone part of the beef finely, along with some of the fat. This should take about 10 minutes.
- 2Place the shredded beef and fat into a small stewpan. Add a small amount of onions, a little water, pepper, and salt. Simmer over low heat until the onions are soft, about 20 minutes.
- 3Add some of the meat gravy to the mince. Do not let it boil. Have a small, hot dish ready with bits of bread. Pour the mince into the dish and mix in a large spoonful of vinegar just before serving.
