Succotash
A simple succotash recipe.
Ingredients
- 8 ears Corn kernels
- 1 pint Lima beans
- 1 tablespoonful Flour
- 1 tablespoonful Butter
- as needed Pepper
- as needed Salt
- 1 cup Milk
Instructions
- 1Cut the corn kernels from the ears.
- 2In a pot, combine the corn kernels and lima beans with enough water to cover them. Boil for nearly an hour, or until the corn and beans are tender.
- 3Remove the pot from heat. Add the milk, floured butter, pepper, and salt. Stir to combine.
- 4Simmer for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
