Succotash

Succotash

A simple succotash recipe.

Ingredients

  • 8 ears Corn kernels
  • 1 pint Lima beans
  • 1 tablespoonful Flour
  • 1 tablespoonful Butter
  • as needed Pepper
  • as needed Salt
  • 1 cup Milk

Instructions

  1. 1Cut the corn kernels from the ears.
  2. 2In a pot, combine the corn kernels and lima beans with enough water to cover them. Boil for nearly an hour, or until the corn and beans are tender.
  3. 3Remove the pot from heat. Add the milk, floured butter, pepper, and salt. Stir to combine.
  4. 4Simmer for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
