Strawberry Pie
A classic strawberry pie recipe, adapted from the Royal Baker Pastry Cook (1888).
Ingredients
- 3 cupfuls Raspberries
- 1 cupful Granulated Sugar
- 1 pie crust Pie Crust
Instructions
- 1Line a pie plate with the pie crust. Prick the bottom and sides of the crust with a fork to prevent shrinking and blistering. Cut a top crust a little larger than the pie plate. Prick the top crust as well.
- 2Place the raspberries and sugar in the pie plate. Cover with the top crust. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly. If the fruit is ripe, it will steam tender; if not, return to the oven until hot through.
