A simple recipe for stewed squash.

Ingredients

  • Squash
  • to taste Salt

Instructions

  1. 1Pare, seed, and quarter the squash.
  2. 2Cook the squash in boiling salted water until soft.
  3. 3Pour off the water. Beat the squash to pieces in the saucepan. Season well and stir until stiff and smooth, like apple sauce.
  4. 4Serve immediately.
