Stewed Mushrooms

A simple recipe for stewed mushrooms.

Ingredients

  • as needed Mushrooms
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Butter
  • to taste Black pepper
  • to taste Heavy cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1Place the mushrooms in a bowl with salt and water. Let them sit for 1 hour to remove any dirt or impurities.
  2. 2Rinse the mushrooms and place them in a pot. Cover with fresh water and stew over medium heat until tender, about 30 minutes.
  3. 3Season the stewed mushrooms with butter, salt, and pepper to taste. If desired, stir in some heavy cream for a richer flavor.
