Stewed Mushrooms
A simple recipe for stewed mushrooms.
Ingredients
- as needed Mushrooms
- to taste Salt
- to taste Butter
- to taste Black pepper
- to taste Heavy cream (optional)
Instructions
- 1Place the mushrooms in a bowl with salt and water. Let them sit for 1 hour to remove any dirt or impurities.
- 2Rinse the mushrooms and place them in a pot. Cover with fresh water and stew over medium heat until tender, about 30 minutes.
- 3Season the stewed mushrooms with butter, salt, and pepper to taste. If desired, stir in some heavy cream for a richer flavor.
