Stewed Beef Kidney

A classic stewed beef kidney recipe.

Ingredients

  • slices Beef kidney
  • to taste Black pepper
  • to taste Salt
  • as needed Flour
  • as needed Warm water
  • to taste Butter

Instructions

  1. 1Cut the beef kidney into slices.
  2. 2Season the kidney slices highly with pepper and salt. Fry the slices until lightly browned.
  3. 3Pour a little warm water into the pan. Dredge the kidney slices in flour and put them back into the pan. Let them stew very gently until tender.
  4. 4For sheep's kidneys, split them open and broil them over a clear fire. Serve with a piece of butter placed on each half.
