Soft Shell Crabs
A simple recipe for frying soft shell crabs.
Ingredients
- as needed Butter (or vegetable shortening or neutral oil) (Originally lard. Substituted with butter for modern preference. Can also use vegetable shortening or neutral oil.)
- 4 Soft shell crabs
Instructions
- 1Clean and prepare the soft shell crabs. Pat them dry.
- 2Heat butter (or lard, vegetable shortening, or neutral oil) in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the soft shell crabs until golden brown and cooked through, about 10 minutes per side.
