Royal Wine Sauce
A classic wine sauce recipe.
Ingredients
- 1/2 pint Wine
- 4 Egg yolks
- 1 cupful Sugar
Instructions
- 1Gently bring 1/2 pint of wine to a simmer in a saucepan over medium heat. Do not boil. (Prep time: 5 minutes)
- 2Add the egg yolks and 1 cupful of sugar to the simmering wine. (Prep time: 0 minutes, Perform time: 10 minutes)
- 3Whip the mixture constantly over low heat until it becomes frothy and slightly thick. Be careful not to overheat or curdle the eggs. (Prep time: 0 minutes, Perform time: 10 minutes)
