Royal Cookies
A classic cookie recipe from the late 19th century, perfect for a simple and delicious treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Butter (Softened)
- 2 cups Sugar
- 5 large Eggs
- 3 cups Flour (All-purpose)
- 0.5 teaspoon Royal Baking Powder
- 1 cup Milk
Instructions
- 1In a large bowl, mix 1 cup of softened butter, 2 cups of sugar, and 5 eggs together until smooth.
- 2Add 3 cups of flour, sifted with 1/2 teaspoon of Royal Baking Powder, and 1 cup of milk to the mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms that is easy to handle.
- 3Flour a board or clean surface. Roll out the dough thinly.
- 4Cut out cookies using a biscuit cutter or any desired shape.
- 5Lay the cookies on a greased baking tin. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and bake in a hot oven for 5-6 minutes, or until lightly golden.
