Pork Chops, with Tomato Gravy
A classic pork chop recipe with a simple tomato gravy.
Ingredients

- as needed Powdered sage
- as needed Onion powder
- as needed Butter
- as needed Hot water
- as needed Flour
- as needed Pepper
- as needed Salt
- as needed Sugar
- 1/2 cup Canned tomatoes (juice)
Instructions
- 1Trim off any skin and excess fat from the pork chops. Rub the chops over with a mixture of powdered sage and onion.
- 2Place a small piece of butter into a frying pan. Put the pork chops in the pan and cook slowly until they are well done, about 15-20 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- 3Lay the cooked chops on a hot dish. Add a little hot water to the pan with the remaining juices. Add 1 large spoonful of butter, rolled in flour. Season with pepper, salt, and sugar, and add 1/2 cup of juice drained from canned tomatoes. Stew for 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until the gravy thickens.
- 4Pour the gravy over the pork chops and serve immediately.
