A simple recipe for making pickles using glass bottles and vinegar.

Ingredients

  • 3 parts Pickled articles
  • as needed Vinegar

Instructions

  1. 1Use clean glass bottles for pickling. Ensure they are thoroughly washed and sterilized. Use wooden knives and forks for handling the articles to be pickled.
  2. 2Fill the bottles approximately 3 parts full with the articles to be pickled.
  3. 3Fill the bottles completely with vinegar, ensuring all the articles are submerged.
  4. 4If desired, boil the vinegar in a saucepan lined with earthenware or a stone pipkin before pouring it into the bottles. This step helps with preservation.
