Paste No. 7 (Timbale Paste)
A classic pastry dough recipe.
Ingredients
- 3 cupfuls All-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cupfuls Butter
- 2 eggs Egg yolks
- 2/3 cup Ice water
- 1/2 teaspoonful Baking powder
Instructions
- 1Sift together the flour and baking powder onto a clean work surface. Form the flour into a ring. Place the butter and egg yolks in the middle of the ring. Gradually work the butter and egg yolks together. Add the ice water a little at a time, using the flour from the inside of the ring, until the whole is formed into a very smooth paste.
