Paste No. 4
A simple pastry dough recipe.
Ingredients
- 5 cupfuls Flour
- 1 cupful Butter
- 1 cupful Butter (or vegetable shortening) (Originally lard. Substituted with butter for modern preference. Can also use vegetable shortening for similar texture.)
- 1 cupful Water
- 1/2 teaspoonful Baking powder
Instructions
- 1Sift flour with baking powder. Rub in lard and butter cold. Add the water and mix into a smooth, lithe dough.
