Orange Pie
A classic orange pie recipe from the Royal Baker Pastry Cook.
Ingredients
- Paste No. 5 (Paste No. 5 is a reference to a pie crust recipe. Since the recipe does not provide the ingredients for Paste No. 5, it is left as is.)
- 4 eggs Eggs
- 2 tablespoonfuls Butter
- 1/2 pint Heavy cream
- 1 cup Sugar
- juice of two Oranges
- 1 rind Orange rind
Instructions
- 1Beat butter and sugar to a light cream. Gradually add the beaten eggs, orange juice, and grated orange rind.
- 2Whip the cream to a stiff froth.
- 3Line a pie plate with Paste No. 5. Wash the edges and put on the rim. Pour in the mixture and bake in a slow oven for 25 minutes at 300-325°F (150-160°C).
