Onion Sauce

Onion Sauce

A simple sauce made from onions, milk, and butter.

Ingredients

  • 4 or 5 White onions
  • 1/2 pint Whole milk
  • 1 oz Butter
  • to taste Black pepper
  • to taste Salt

Instructions

  1. 1Peel the onions and boil them in water until tender, approximately 20-25 minutes. Drain the water and press the onions to remove excess liquid.
  2. 2Chop the cooked onions very fine. Heat the milk. Combine the onions and hot milk, then add the butter, pepper, and salt to taste.
