Lima Beans
A simple recipe for preparing lima beans.
Ingredients
- 1 pint Lima beans
- as needed Salt
- 1 piece (size of an egg) Butter
- 1 teaspoonful All-purpose flour
- as needed Meat broth (or water)
- 1 tablespoonful Chopped parsley
- as needed Black pepper
Instructions
- 1Place the lima beans in boiling salted water, ensuring they are covered. Cook until tender. Drain the beans.
- 2Melt the butter in a pan. Mix in the flour. Add a little meat broth (or water) to make a smooth sauce.
- 3Put the cooked beans into the sauce and set aside to simmer for 15 minutes.
- 4Just before serving, add the chopped parsley and season to taste with salt and pepper.
