Indian Pudding No. 2
A classic Indian pudding recipe.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cupful Flour
- 1 1/4 cupfuls Cornmeal
- 1/2 cupful Syrup
- 1/2 teaspoonful Salt
- 1 quart Milk
Instructions
- 1In a bowl, mix the flour, cornmeal, and salt with a cupful of milk.
- 2Pour the remaining milk and syrup into the mixture. Stir well.
- 3Stir the mixture occasionally for 30 minutes while it is boiling.
- 4Pour the mixture into a well-buttered pudding dish. Bake in a moderate oven at 350°F (175°C) for 2 hours.
- 5Serve warm with Wine Sauce (not included in this recipe).
