Hot Slaw
A simple cabbage slaw cooked until tender.
Ingredients
- 1 head Hard white cabbage
- 1 piece (egg-sized) Butter
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1/2 teacupful Water
- 1 teacupful Vinegar
Instructions
- 1Cut the head of cabbage in half. Finely shave one half of the cabbage.
- 2Place the shaved cabbage in a stewpan. Add the butter, salt, pepper, water, and vinegar. Cover the stewpan and cook the cabbage over medium heat until tender, stirring frequently.
