Hard Sauce
A classic sauce with a creamy texture and a hint of spice.
Ingredients
- 1 cupful Sugar
- 1/2 cupful Butter
- 2 eggs Egg whites
- 1 tablespoonful Brandy
- 1 teaspoonful Ground nutmeg (Originally Royal Extract Nutmeg. Substituted with ground nutmeg.)
Instructions
- 1In a medium bowl, beat the sugar and butter together until light and creamy, about 5 minutes.
- 2Add the egg whites to the creamed mixture and beat for a few minutes until combined. Stir in the brandy and nutmeg.
- 3Place the sauce in the refrigerator until needed.
