Hard Sauce

A classic sauce with a creamy texture and a hint of spice.

Ingredients

  • 1 cupful Sugar
  • 1/2 cupful Butter
  • 2 eggs Egg whites
  • 1 tablespoonful Brandy
  • 1 teaspoonful Ground nutmeg (Originally Royal Extract Nutmeg. Substituted with ground nutmeg.)

Instructions

  1. 1In a medium bowl, beat the sugar and butter together until light and creamy, about 5 minutes.
  2. 2Add the egg whites to the creamed mixture and beat for a few minutes until combined. Stir in the brandy and nutmeg.
  3. 3Place the sauce in the refrigerator until needed.
