Gooseberry Jam

A classic gooseberry jam recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Red gooseberries
  • 3/4 pound Granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. 1Pick off the stalks and buds from the gooseberries. Lightly bruise the gooseberries.
  2. 2Boil the gooseberries quickly for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. 3Add the sugar to the fruit. Boil quickly, removing any scum that rises to the surface.
  4. 4Pour the jam into sterilized jars. Once cold, cover the jars.
