Gooseberry Jam
A classic gooseberry jam recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Red gooseberries
- 3/4 pound Granulated sugar
Instructions
- 1Pick off the stalks and buds from the gooseberries. Lightly bruise the gooseberries.
- 2Boil the gooseberries quickly for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
- 3Add the sugar to the fruit. Boil quickly, removing any scum that rises to the surface.
- 4Pour the jam into sterilized jars. Once cold, cover the jars.
