French Omelette
A classic French omelette recipe.
Ingredients
- 4 eggs Eggs
- to taste Granulated Sugar
- 1 pinch Baking powder
- 3 tablespoons All-purpose flour
- to make a thin batter Milk
- for greasing Butter
- to taste Jam
Instructions
- 1Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. Place the egg whites in a clean bowl or on a plate. Place the egg yolks in a separate small bowl.
- 2Beat the egg whites until they form soft peaks.
- 3In the bowl with the egg yolks, add sugar to taste, a pinch of baking powder, and the flour. Gradually add milk, mixing until a thin batter forms.
- 4Heat and grease an omelette pan. Pour the batter into the pan. Spread the whipped egg whites over the top. Cook over medium heat, holding the pan high above the heat source until the top is set and lightly browned. Fold the omelette in half and serve hot with jam.
