Cream Pie and Oranges

A simple dessert featuring sliced oranges and a cream pie.

Ingredients

  • as needed Oranges
  • as needed Granulated Sugar
  • 1 coffeecupful Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 cupful Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tablespoonful All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Egg
  • as needed Lemon Extract
  • 1 crust Pie Crust

Instructions

  1. 1Cut the oranges into thin slices. Sprinkle sugar over the orange slices. Let them stand for 2 to 3 hours.
  2. 2In a bowl, combine the heavy cream, powdered sugar, flour, and egg. Flavor with lemon extract.
  3. 3Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pour the cream filling into the prepared pie crust. Bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until the crust is brown and the filling is set.
  4. 4Serve the cream pie with the prepared orange slices on fruit plates.
