Common Batter
A basic batter recipe suitable for griddle cakes and other applications.
Ingredients
- 1 cupful All-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoonful Baking powder
- 1 pinch Salt
- 2 Eggs
- 1 cupful Milk
- 1 tablespoonful Vegetable oil (Originally sweet oil.)
Instructions
- 1Sift the flour, salt, and baking powder together in a bowl.
- 2Add the oil, beaten eggs, and milk to the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined, forming a batter similar to that used for griddle cakes.
