Clam Chowder
A classic clam chowder recipe.
Ingredients
- 25 clams Clams
- 1/4 pound Salt pork
- 6 potatoes Potatoes
- 4 onions Onions
- 2 quarts Milk
Instructions
- 1Chop the salt pork fine. Slice the potatoes and onions thinly.
- 2Place the salt pork in a kettle and cook for a short time. Add the sliced potatoes, onions, and the juice from the clams. Cook for 2 1/2 hours.
- 3Add the clams and cook for 15 minutes. Then, 15 minutes before serving, add the milk.
