Clam Chowder

A classic clam chowder recipe.

Ingredients

  • 25 clams Clams
  • 1/4 pound Salt pork
  • 6 potatoes Potatoes
  • 4 onions Onions
  • 2 quarts Milk

Instructions

  1. 1Chop the salt pork fine. Slice the potatoes and onions thinly.
  2. 2Place the salt pork in a kettle and cook for a short time. Add the sliced potatoes, onions, and the juice from the clams. Cook for 2 1/2 hours.
  3. 3Add the clams and cook for 15 minutes. Then, 15 minutes before serving, add the milk.
