A classic chicken pie recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 chickens Chicken, jointed
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Flour
  • 1 batch Crust (for soda biscuit)

Instructions

  1. 1Joint the chickens into smaller pieces. Cook the chicken until tender. Season with butter, salt, and pepper.
  2. 2Thicken the gravy with flour.
  3. 3Make crust as for soda biscuit. Line the sides of a pie dish with the crust, about 1/4 inch thick. Fill the dish with the chicken and gravy. Cover with the crust. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes.
