Carrots, Mashed

A simple recipe for mashed carrots.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Carrots
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Scrape and wash the carrots. Place them in a bowl of cold water and let them sit for 30 minutes to help them become crispier.
  2. 2Cook the carrots in boiling water until tender, about 20-25 minutes. Drain well.
  3. 3Mash the cooked carrots with a wooden spoon or potato masher. Work in the butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. 4Heap the mashed carrots up in a vegetable dish and serve hot.
