Caper Sauce
A simple sauce featuring capers, perfect for adding a burst of flavor to various dishes.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoonfuls Butter
- 1 tablespoonful Flour
- 1 egg Hard-boiled egg
- 2 tablespoonfuls Capers
- 1 cup Water
Instructions
- 1In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the flour until smooth. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, to create a roux.
- 2Gradually pour in boiling water, whisking constantly to prevent lumps, until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
- 3Finely chop the hard-boiled egg. Stir the chopped egg and capers into the sauce. Heat through for 2-3 minutes, and serve immediately.
