Broiled Fresh Cod

A simple recipe for broiled fresh cod, adapted for modern cooking.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Fresh Cod Fillets
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 4 cups Water
  • as needed Sauce for Codfish (See Sauces)
  • as needed Thin Cloth

Instructions

  1. 1Wrap the cod fillets in a thin cloth, ensuring they are fitted to their shape.
  2. 2Boil the water with salt. Place the wrapped fish in the boiling water. Allow about 15 minutes per pound of fish.
  3. 3Carefully unwrap the fish and pour the sauce for codfish over it. (See Sauces).
