Boiled Mutton
A simple recipe for boiled mutton, a traditional dish.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Mutton
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 1 cup Drawn butter
- 8 cups Water
Instructions
- 1Place the mutton in a pot with plenty of boiling water. Add salt. Cook for 12 minutes per pound of mutton.
- 2Remove the mutton from the water. Carefully wipe it with a hot, wet cloth. Butter all over.
- 3Serve the mutton with a cup of drawn butter in a sauceboat.
