Boiled Cauliflower
A simple recipe for boiled cauliflower with white sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 head Cauliflower
- 1 tablespoon Salt
- 1 cup White sauce (made with butter)
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
Instructions
- 1Rinse the cauliflower head. If desired, tie the cauliflower up in white netting (cheesecloth or a similar material) to keep it intact during cooking.
- 2Bring a large pot of salted water (1 tablespoon salt) to a boil. Carefully place the cauliflower in the boiling water. Cook for 25 minutes, or until tender when pierced with a fork.
- 3Drain the cauliflower and, if used, remove the netting. Place the cauliflower in a deep dish, blossom-side up. Deluge with white sauce made with drawn butter, and the juice of a lemon squeezed in.
