Apple Pudding (English)
A traditional English apple pudding recipe.
Ingredients
- as needed Paste (pie crust)
- 12 or 14 Apples (Peeled, cored, and sliced.)
- 1 teaspoonful Nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cupfuls Sugar
- as needed Water (For boiling water in saucepan.)
Instructions
- 1Line an earthenware pudding mold with paste (pie crust).
- 2Pack the sliced apples, sugar, and nutmeg into the prepared mold. Wet the edges of the paste.
- 3Cover the pudding with the paste, pinch the edges firmly together to seal. Place the mold in a saucepan with 1/2 full of boiling water. Simmer for 30 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the crust is cooked.
