TOMATOES WITH EGGS
A simple dish of baked tomatoes with eggs.
Ingredients
- 5 or 6 Ripe tomatoes (Quantity estimated (not specified in original recipe))
- 5 or 6 Eggs (Quantity estimated (not specified in original recipe))
- White sauce (or cream sauce) (Quantity estimated (not specified in original recipe))
- Brown gravy (Quantity estimated (not specified in original recipe))
Instructions
- 1Peel the tomatoes. Cut a slice from the top of each, and scoop out the core.
- 2Break a raw egg into each tomato and replace the top.
- 3Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Put in a baking dish and bake until the eggs are set, about 30 minutes.
- 4Serve with a cream sauce or brown gravy.
