Instructions

  1. 1Carefully drain the tinned peaches, reserving the syrup in a separate bowl.
  2. 2Place the drained peaches in a saucepan along with the reserved syrup. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  3. 3Simmer gently for about 15 minutes, allowing the peaches to absorb more of the syrup's flavor. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  4. 4Remove from heat and let the peaches cool slightly in the syrup. Serve warm or chilled. They can be served on their own or with ice cream or custard.
