Meringue Garnish

A simple meringue garnish to add a sweet and elegant touch to baked puddings.

Ingredients

  • 2 Egg Whites (Large eggs)
  • 1 tablespoon Powdered Sugar (Also known as confectioners' sugar)

Instructions

  1. 1In a clean, dry bowl, beat the egg whites with an electric mixer (or whisk) until stiff peaks form. This means the whites hold their shape when the beaters are lifted.
  2. 2Gradually add the powdered sugar to the egg whites, beating continuously until the meringue is glossy and smooth.
  3. 3Once the pudding is baked, cover it with the meringue. Place the pudding in a preheated oven at 300°F (150°C) for 2-3 minutes, or until the meringue is lightly set and slightly golden.
