A simple recipe for making your own baking powder at home. This recipe uses tartaric acid, bicarbonate of soda (baking soda), and arrowroot powder.

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce Tartaric acid
  • 1.5 ounces Bicarbonate of soda (baking soda)
  • 1.5 ounces Arrowroot powder

Instructions

  2. 2Whisk or stir the ingredients together very thoroughly until they are completely combined and no lumps remain. Ensure the mixture is homogenous.
  3. 3Store the baking powder in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Moisture will activate the baking powder, so it's crucial to keep it dry.
