Grilled Tomatoes
Simple grilled tomatoes, perfect as a side dish or topping.
Ingredients
- 4 medium Tomatoes (Choose ripe but firm tomatoes)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (Or melted butter)
- 0.25 teaspoon Salt (To taste)
- 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper (Freshly ground, to taste)
Instructions
- 1Wash the tomatoes. You can grill them whole or cut them in half. If grilling whole, gently pierce the skin with a fork to prevent bursting.
- 2Brush the tomatoes with olive oil (or melted butter) and season with salt and pepper.
- 3Preheat your grill to medium heat. Place the tomatoes on the grill and cook for 3-5 minutes per side, or until slightly softened and grill marks appear. Be careful, as they are apt to break.
- 4Serve immediately as a side dish with macaroni, rice, or as a topping for other dishes.
