Grilled Mushrooms

Grilled Mushrooms

A simple recipe for grilling large mushrooms, seasoned with oil, pepper, salt, and lemon juice.

Ingredients

  • 2 Large Mushrooms (e.g., Portobello) (Choose mushrooms with large, flat caps.)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (Or melted butter)
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt (To taste)
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper (Freshly ground, to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice (Freshly squeezed)

Instructions

  1. 1Wash the mushrooms gently to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with paper towels. Peel the caps if desired (optional, but recommended for a smoother texture).
  2. 2Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Ensure the grill is clean to prevent sticking.
  3. 3Brush the mushrooms with olive oil (or melted butter) on both sides. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  4. 4Place the mushrooms on the preheated grill, cap-side down. Grill for 5-7 minutes per side, or until tender and slightly charred. Avoid overcrowding the grill; cook in batches if necessary.
  5. 5Remove the grilled mushrooms from the grill and place them on a serving plate. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the mushrooms. Serve immediately while hot.
