Fried Tomatoes
A simple and quick recipe for fried tomatoes, perfect as a side dish or served over macaroni or rice.
Ingredients
- 2 medium Tomatoes (Ripe but firm)
- 1 tablespoon Butter (Unsalted)
- 0.25 teaspoon Salt (To taste)
- 0.125 teaspoon Black pepper (Freshly ground, to taste)
Instructions
- 1Wash and slice the tomatoes into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
- 2Melt the butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the tomato slices in the pan in a single layer. Fry for 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are tender and lightly browned. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 3Pour the contents of the frying-pan over them, serve plain, or with macaroni or rice.
