Cream Cheese and Celery Sandwiches

Cream Cheese and Celery Sandwiches

A simple and refreshing sandwich featuring cream cheese and finely chopped celery, perfect for a light lunch or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 stalk Celery (Use the white part of the celery stalk.)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (Softened)
  • 1 pinch Salt (To taste)
  • 8 slices Bread (Thinly sliced white bread recommended)
  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese (Softened)
  • 1 sprig Parsley (For garnish)

Instructions

  1. 1Finely chop the white part of the celery stalk. In a mortar, pound the chopped celery with softened butter and a pinch of salt until it forms a smooth paste.
  2. 2Butter thin slices of bread with the celery mixture. Place a thin slice of cream cheese between two slices of the buttered bread.
  3. 3Cut the sandwiches into squares or triangles with a very sharp knife. Pile the sandwiches up on a serving dish. Garnish with parsley sprigs. Optionally, cut a few slices of cream cheese into small rounds and place them around the base of the sandwiches, sticking a small piece of celery leaf into each round.
