Cheese Ramequins
Savory cheese ramequins, perfect as an appetizer or light snack.
Ingredients
- 113 grams Grated Parmesan cheese (About 1/2 pound)
- 57 grams Butter (About 1/4 pound)
- 60 ml Water (About 1/4 pint)
- 0.5 pinch Black pepper (To taste)
- 0.5 pinch Salt (To taste)
- 40 grams All-purpose flour (Approximately, enough to make a thick paste)
- 2 large Eggs (Well-beaten)
Instructions
- 1In a saucepan, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, butter, and water. Add a pinch of pepper and salt.
- 2Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, and gradually add the flour until the mixture forms a thick paste. Remove from heat.
- 3Let the paste cool slightly for a minute or two. Gradually mix in the well-beaten eggs, one at a time, until the paste is smooth and has a consistency that can be molded but isn't too liquid.
- 4Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet. Using a tablespoon, scoop the mixture and mold it into shapes resembling small mounds or ovals. Place the shapes on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until they are a nice golden brown color.
- 5Remove from the oven and let cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving.
