Ingredients

  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 large Egg
  • 4 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. 1In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally, until it turns into a light brown syrup. Be careful not to burn it.
  2. 2Carefully add the milk to the caramelized sugar and cook until any lumps are dissolved. Remove from heat.
  3. 3In a separate bowl, beat the egg, salt, and vanilla extract. Slowly whisk the warm milk mixture into the egg mixture.
