Step 1
Cut the chicken into small pieces. Wash it properly and drain it. Cook the chicken along with turmeric powder, salt and pepper powder in a pressure cooker. Add 1/4 cup water. Cook for 1 whistle in medium flame. When done,drain and keep aside to cool.
Step 2
Wash the potato thoroughly. Cut the potato into half and cook them by adding salt and water in a pressure cooker for one whistle. When cooked, drain and allow to cool. Then peel them and mash with hand and keep aside.
Step 3
Chopp the chicken finely and keep aside. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a kadai. Add finely chopped onion,curry leaves, chopped ginger, garlic and green chillies along with a pinch of salt. Saute till the onion becomes smooth in texture.
Step 4
Now add minced chicken along with mutton masala and pepper powder. Saute well and cook for 5 minutes in low flame by stirring continuously. Finely add mashed potatoes and mix well. Cook in a low flame and stir till all the water has gone. Remove from the stove and allow the mixture to cool.
Step 5
When cooled, make the mixture into medium sized balls by hand. Then press the balls to form cylindrical in shape. Dip each of them in the beaten egg white and then roll this into bread crumbs
Step 6
Pour oil into the pan and heat in medium flame and shallow fry it. Fry till turn golden brown. Transfer into a serving plate and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
