Step 1
Soak the dried white peas over 6-8 hour or overnight.Now drain the water and put the peas into pressure cooker with potatoes , cumin seeds, bay leave, cloves, turmeric, ginger garlic paste, water and salt to taste.Cover the lid and give 4-5 whistles .
Step 2
Now let the pressure to release naturally, then open the lid discard the bay leaves, cloves.
Step 3
Now saute on medium flame and add tomatoes and green chillies and slightly mashed the potatoes and peas using back of spoon or using masher spoon.to thicken the gravy.
Step 4
cook it for 7-8 mins and switch off the flame .
Step 5
now in a plate add pea curry and sprinkle some chaat masala ,tamarind chutney ,cilantro chutney ,curd and onions or cucumber for garnishing.
